I have the entire warcraft lore churning around my head with the diff races events and land. Over the years i've spent hours every week studying up on new information in wowpedia (used to be called wowwiki until later in the year, R.I.P. Wowwiki).
I can't say that i could draw on it at moments, its simply too massive in that however, i can create links and chain events and not get confused about the facts of the matter or the opinions of each char on the subject while maintaining my personal. I've read these comics, borrowed books, and played all RTS games. Not to mention stayed active in WoW and do the world quest twice (pre and post cata) while reading the quests.
Then again iam an info-maniac and suffer from severe information-poisoning. WoW isn't even the only fictional world lore that i keep up to date. I must also mention that LOTR isn't something I keep up to date with. However, i try my best , but i have a lot more knowledge than most people. Azov There is nothing to be proud of or superior about. I simply have a craving for information handling and course of events. This is odd because I am not a fan of history. Actually, I am a lover of history, but I am adamant about how the majority of institutions teach it. (IE scenario A) Volunteers enjoy their work and contribution, but lose motivation to complete the job when they are employed as full-time employees and paid for it. They feel like they have to do it now or they won't get paid. This isn't what they want to do, but rather what they have to accomplish.
But I'm with you. i enjoy the lore for the lore as well. Particularly, the night elf, old god and certain favorite chars the lore. I would like to see more discussions with Draenai about the lore of Azeroth, but it has not been re-read enough often.
